CM Extends World Environment Day Greetings, Reaffirms Commitment to a Greener and Healthier Planet

Panaji: Marking World Environment Day, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant called upon citizens to strengthen their commitment towards environmental protection and sustainable development, emphasizing that collective action is essential to safeguarding natural resources for future generations.In a message shared on his X account on Friday, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of preserving the environment amid growing global concerns over climate change, pollution, and the depletion of natural resources. He urged people from all walks of life to adopt environmentally responsible practices and contribute towards building a cleaner and greener future.“On this World Environment Day, let us reaffirm our collective responsibility to protect and preserve our environment for future generations,” Sawant said. He stressed that environmental conservation is not solely the responsibility of governments and institutions but requires active participation from every citizen.The Chief Minister noted that simple yet meaningful actions such as reducing waste, conserving water, planting trees, minimizing the use of plastic, and embracing sustainable lifestyles can have a significant positive impact on the environment.
