Home NewsNewsCM Inspects Tar-Moira River Works Ahead of MonsoonBy Goa News Hub -06/05/202602Mapusa: Ahead of monsoons season, Chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Tuesday inspected the improvement of waterway at Tar-Moira river near Mapusa town.A senior government official said that Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant Visited and inspected the Improvement of Waterway of Tar/Moira River from Guirim to NH Bridge Project site, along with Water Resources Department Minister Subhash Shirodkar, MLA Kedar Naik, and officials of the Water Resources Department.This project will play a crucial role in flood control, strengthening irrigation for agriculture, and improving water availability, the official said.The official stated that CM Directed to expedite desilting and removal of bottlenecks, especially under culverts at the Highway Bridge and Tar Bridge, to ensure smooth water flow and prevent flooding.The chief minister also instructed temporary protective measures to stabilise embankments where permanent works are pending, he said.
