Panaji: Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao today announced the launch of “Connect with Goa CLP – Aavaj Tumcho, Saangat Aamcho”, a first-of-its-kind public outreach initiative by the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) aimed at giving every Goan a direct platform to raise issues for discussion in the forthcoming Goa Legislative Assembly Session beginning on 31st August 2026.
Inviting citizens from across Goa to actively participate in the democratic process, Yuri Alemao said that the Congress Legislative Party is committed to ensuring that the concerns, aspirations, and grievances of the people are effectively voiced on the floor of the Assembly.
“The Legislative Assembly is the highest democratic forum of the State, and it must reflect the hopes, hardships, and expectations of the people. Through this initiative, we are opening our doors to every Goan. Whether it is unemployment, rising prices, education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, law and order, environmental concerns, or any local issue affecting your community, we want to hear directly from you,” Yuri Alemao stated.
He emphasised that the Congress Legislature Party believes in participatory democracy, where people are not merely spectators but active contributors in shaping public policy and governance.
“Our objective is simple—your voice should become our voice in the Assembly. Every genuine representation received will be carefully examined and, wherever appropriate, raised through questions, calling attention motions, debates, and other legislative interventions during the upcoming session,” he added.
The initiative is being spearheaded by Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, along with MLA Altone D’Costa and MLA Adv. Carlos Alvares Ferreira, who have appealed to citizens, civil society organisations, youth, farmers, women, professionals, senior citizens, and all sections of society to participate in this people-centric campaign.

The Congress Legislative Party urged people to make full use of this opportunity and help bring people’s issues to the forefront of legislative discussion.
“Aavaj Tumcho, Saangat Aamcho” is more than a slogan—it is our commitment to ensure that every Goan’s voice finds its rightful place in the Goa Legislative Assembly,” Yuri Alemao said.
