Panaji: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has proposed the establishment of think tanks for the upliftment of various communities, including Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and others.Speaking to reporters in Panaji, Rane stated that the idea of think tanks for SC, ST, OBC, and others, including minorities such as Muslims and Christians, would help in formulating developmental plans to provide them with greater opportunities.He announced that he is starting with the concept of a Think Tank for the ST community in his Valpoi constituency, which will comprise thinkers, opinion makers, community members, and other stakeholders.“After the ST community, we will establish think tanks for SC and OBC, followed by Muslims and Christians,” he said.Rane emphasized that these think tanks would be set up in each village to address area-specific issues, ultimately contributing to the overall development of the communities.The minister stated that the ultimate goal is to implement Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision at the grassroots level in Goa’s villages.Rane further added that central government schemes would be leveraged to uplift these communities.
