PANAJI: The Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board (Goa-IPB) has approved investment proposals worth around ₹622 crore, spanning sectors such as manufacturing, hospitality, education, electronics, shipbuilding and emerging technologies. The projects are expected to create nearly 3,180 employment opportunities across the state.

The approvals were granted at the 42nd Goa-IPB Board Meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant in Panaji. Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho, GIDC Chairman and MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, along with other Board members, were present during the meeting.

The approved proposals include projects related to automotive components, optical instrument manufacturing, electronics, technology development centres, advanced fabrication facilities, hospitality ventures, educational institutions and Global Capability Centre (GCC) infrastructure.

The Board also reviewed the proposed Large-Scale Industries Incentive Scheme, prepared after consultations with industry representatives, prospective investors and government officials. The proposal has now been forwarded for further consideration and approval.

Speaking after the meeting, Dr. Sawant said the approvals reflect growing investor confidence in Goa and reaffirm the state’s position as an emerging destination for sustainable and high-value investments. He said the government remains committed to building a business-friendly environment that encourages innovation, attracts investment, creates employment and advances the vision of a Swayampurna Goa.
