Borim, Goa: The Goa Karate & Fitness Centre, in association with Shree Sai Sansthan, Avedem-Borim, and Maharudra Sports & Cultural Club, Paniwada-Borim, organised a Karate Kata Championship at Borim, bringing together young karate enthusiasts from the area.
The championship was conducted under the banner of Okinawa Martial Arts Academy Japan – Karate Shotokai, India, with the objective of promoting karate, physical fitness, discipline and sportsmanship among children and youth.
The event was attended by Dr. Gauri Shirodkar, Zilla Panchayat Member, Shiroda, and Sagar Naik Borkar, Sarpanch, Village Panchayat Borim. The dignitaries encouraged the participating students and appreciated the organisers for promoting martial arts and sporting activities in the region.
A large number of participants and karate enthusiasts took part in the championship and showcased their skills, discipline, dedication and competitive spirit. The event provided young participants with an opportunity to build confidence, improve physical fitness and gain valuable competitive experience.
The organisers expressed their gratitude to the guests, participants, parents, instructors and volunteers for their valuable support and contribution towards making the championship a success.
