South Goa, 4th October 2025:In a charged address to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) volunteers in South Goa, AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal vowed to uproot the fear and injustice prevailing under BJP rule in Goa. He declared that AAP volunteers are not working for the party but for the people of Goa, and asserted that the state is ready for change in 2027.“The crowd here today proves that change is coming to Goa,” Kejriwal said, as he praised AAP workers for fearlessly standing up to what he called the BJP’s "gundaraj". He condemned the ruling party for creating an environment of intimidation, citing incidents where AAP volunteers were threatened for campaigning on local issues such as poor road conditions.Kejriwal also highlighted the importance of service, urging volunteers to continue working at mohalla clinics and new party offices to help citizens with health and administrative support. “Every religion teaches that serving people is the same as worshipping God,” he said, sharing personal experiences, including his time working with Mother Teresa in Kolkata.Slamming the BJP and Congress alike, Kejriwal accused both parties of enabling political dynasties and looting Goa’s resources. “For 60 years, a handful of families have controlled Goa. The time has come to give power back to the people,” he asserted.AAP Goa in-charge Atishi also took aim at the BJP’s 13-year rule in the state, blaming the government for unemployment, crumbling infrastructure, corruption, and a breakdown in law and order. “The BJP has given Goa goondaism, gang wars, and drug-related deaths. But the people now see hope in AAP,” she said.Echoing the sentiment, AAP Goa President Amit Palekar said both the ruling BJP and the Congress are “rattled” by the party’s growing support in the state. MLAs Venzy Viegas and Cruz Silva, who were also present, reaffirmed their loyalty to AAP and their resolve to lead Goa into a new political era.“With just 1.5 years left until the next Assembly elections, AAP volunteers are more determined than ever to form a clean, people-first government in 2027,” said Cruz Silva. The event marked a significant show of strength for AAP in Goa, reinforcing its intent to position itself as the primary alternative to traditional parties in the upcoming elections.
