RGP Infighting Deepens as Kholkar Challenges Borkar, Parab Responds

PANAJI: The internal rift within the Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) has escalated, with Ajay Kholkar challenging MLA Viresh Borkar to take action against him, while former state president Manoj Parab responded sharply to Borkar’s remarks.

In a social media post, Kholkar said he was prepared to face any action and challenged Borkar to proceed. He also alleged that Borkar could use the ₹3 crore allegedly received from Girish to hire accountants and legal advisers.

Meanwhile, Parab questioned whether Borkar would also take action against those who had slept on the footpath at Patto and Azad Maidan. Responding on Facebook, Parab wrote, “Manoj Parab Jeeto Asaaa, moronk na,” asserting that he remained active and had not disappeared.

The latest exchange comes after Borkar claimed that Kholkar had no authority to represent RGP and described his presence at a meeting at the Chief Electoral Officer’s office as unauthorised. Borkar also warned of legal action against those misusing the party’s name and announced plans to issue authorised identity cards to party members. He further alleged BJP involvement in the controversy.

With accusations and counter-accusations continuing, the dispute has brought the party’s internal differences into the public domain, with the threat of legal action adding to the growing confrontation.
