The Archdiocese of Goa and Daman is hosting the 18th Exposition of St. Francis Xavier’s Sacred Relics from November 21, 2024, to January 5, 2025, at Old Goa. The 45-day event, held every decade, expects thousands of pilgrims worldwide. It begins with a Eucharistic celebration and procession on November 21, followed by daily veneration of relics (7 am-6pm) and eight daily masses. Special highlights include a feast day Mass on December 3 led by Cardinal Tagle from Rome and closing Mass on January 5. Pilgrims can book accommodations through the Archdiocesan website and utilize special mass slots for out-of-state visitors. Proof of identity is required for security. This significant event invites spiritual renewal and devotion to “Goencho Saib” (St. Francis Xavier).
