SHIRODA: The Congress has accused the BJP of attempting to disrupt its Goy Rakhonn Yatra campaign after posters were allegedly torn and damaged in Shiroda.

Congress Media and Communication Department chairman Amarnath Panjikar condemned the incident, claiming it reflected the BJP’s growing nervousness over the response to the campaign.

Panjikar said damaging posters would not weaken the people’s determination to protect Goa’s land, identity, culture and future. He alleged that the incident reflected frustration within the BJP over public dissatisfaction with its governance.

“BJP may tear our posters, but it cannot tear the voice of the people,” Panjikar said, adding that the campaign would continue despite attempts to disrupt it.

He also asserted that voters in Shiroda would respond politically in the 2027 Assembly elections, urging Congress workers and supporters to remain peaceful and determined.

Panjikar reiterated that the Goy Rakhonn Yatra would continue across Goa, accusing the BJP of trying to suppress the campaign while asserting that the people’s verdict would ultimately decide the state’s political future.
