*Agassiam:* A free eye check-up and spectacles distribution camp, titled “Aarogya Kranti,” was successfully organised in St. André Constituency with the aim of promoting eye health and making essential eye-care services accessible to the local community.
The camp was attended by Hon’ble MLA Shri Viresh Borkar of St. André Constituency, along with ZP Member Smt. Trupti Bakal of St. Lawrence, ZP Member Smt. Esperanca Braganca of St. Cruz, Club President Shri Yogesh Haldankar, and Panch Members Julius Almeida, Julieta Ribeiro, Moni Fernandes and Lakshadeep Gawas.
As part of the initiative, beneficiaries were provided with eye examinations and spectacles, helping address common vision-related concerns and encouraging people to prioritise regular eye check-ups.
The organisers expressed their special appreciation to Dr. Mamta Khedekar and her team for providing valuable eye-care services during the camp. The contribution of club members, volunteers and staff was also acknowledged for their efforts in ensuring the smooth conduct of the programme.
The initiative highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare at the community level and reinforced the message of maintaining good eye health for a better quality of life.
The organisers said that such initiatives would continue to support the community and promote the vision of “Healthy Eyes, Healthy Life and a Healthier Goa.”
