"GVK EMRI Heroes Save Preterm Newborn's Life"
Appreciate the swift response of GVK EMRI’s EMT Faye and pilot Milind in stabilising and safely transporting a preterm newborn, born at 26 weeks at Dr. Bhuvaji Hospital, Curchorem. The baby was in respiratory distress with SpO2 at 77%. The team provided oxygen support via a bag-valve mask, placed the baby in an incubator to prevent hypothermia and ensured continuous monitoring during transport to Hospicio NICU, improving SpO2 to 98%. On arrival, NICU doctors stabilised the newborn and later intubated for transfer to a tertiary care center. The coordinated efforts of our GVK EMRI emergency medical team and hospital staff played a crucial role in ensuring timely and effective care. Wishing the baby and the mother strength and a smooth recovery. #TheGoaModel https://www.facebook.com/share/p/165C28ytE2/
