India Reports 2,710 Active COVID-19 Cases as of May 30New

Delhi, May 30, 2025 — India has reported a total of 2,710 active COVID-19 cases as of May 30, according to the latest update from the Union Health Ministry. While the overall number remains low compared to the peak periods of the pandemic, certain states continue to report a relatively higher caseload.Kerala tops the list with 1,147 active cases, accounting for over 42% of the country’s total active infections. Maharashtra follows with 424 cases, while the national capital, Delhi, has 294 ongoing cases.Other states with notable figures include Gujarat with 223 active cases, and both Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, each reporting 148 cases. Goa has the lowest number of active infections among the listed states, with just seven cases currently reported.Health authorities continue to urge citizens to remain vigilant, especially in areas with higher case counts. While vaccination coverage remains high, sporadic outbreaks and new variants underline the importance of continued testing, hygiene practices, and timely reporting of symptoms.The Union Health Ministry is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with state governments to ensure preparedness and rapid response to emerging clusters of infections.
